Batavia's BatFest This Weekend!

Halloween is next week! Start celebrating this weekend at one of your favorite Fox River Valley annual events....BatFest! Head to downtown Batavia on

Saturday, October 27th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm for some festive, family fun! This favorite event features fun contests, great games

and activities, downtown Trick-or-Treating, Halloween parade, Pumpkin bowl, Farmer's Market, and so much more! The best part? All of this fun is FREE!

Get Ready for Trick or Treaters in the Fox River Valley!

Halloween is quickly approaching! Get ready for a night of spooky, frightening fun! With your costume ready and your goody bag emptied, it is time to hit the streets of the Fox River Valley for some trick or treating! The night of Halloween, Wednesday October 31st, will be filled with ghosts and goblins, superheroes and princesses! Here is a list of all of the trick or treating hours for the communities in our area!

Make sure everyone has a safe and happy Halloween by following these simple safety tips!

 

  • Trick or treaters should always walk in groups and never alone.
  • Parents or guardians should always accompany young children.
  • Bring a flashlight or attach reflective gear to costumes to ensure that everyone is visible after dark.
  • Make sure costumes do not restrict vision or have any tripping hazards.
  • Stay on sidewalks and within crosswalks when trick or treating. Only walk and avoid using skateboards, skates, bikes, etc.
  • Always look for traffic when crossing the street. If you will be driving on Halloween, make sure to always check for pedestrians.
  • Check ALL candy before letting your children eat any of it. You should only keep candy that is properly wrapped or packaged.

St Charles' Scarecrow Fest This Weekend!

Fall in St. Charles means it is time for one of your favorite annual community events……..Scarecrow Fest!!! The 33rd annual Scarecrow Fest is here! Head to beautiful Downtown St. Charles on Friday, October 5th, through Sunday, October 7th for a weekend filled with autumnal fun! This FREE event has something for the entire family! Make your own scarecrow! Vote on your favorite scarecrows in the contest display. Dance the day away to live music on the 3 stages! Find something unique at the Autumn on the Fox Art and Craft Show. Take a spin on the fun carnival rides. Dine on delicious food at the Taste of St. Charles. Participate in the first ever W.A.R. on Wheels Scarecrow Ride! And, SO MUCH MORE!!!!
