6 Things to Do in Geneva IL This Week!

Looking for something fun to do in GENEVA? There are several fun events coming up this week for you and your family to enjoy! Whether its music, a movie, or a car show, these summertime events offer something for everyone! 

July 27th

Mr. Myers Concert: 7:00 pm at Island Park (2 IL-25). Dance the evening away to great reggae music at a free concert by the band Mr. Myers. Bring something comfy to sit on and enjoy food from Firehouse Pizza & Grill and Dairy Queen.

July 28th

Geneva Classic Car Show: 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Kane County Courthouse (100 South Third Street). Enjoy music from the 1950s while admiring beautiful classic cars. Event attendees can vote for their favorite rides.


July 29th

Miller and the Other Sinners: 8:00 pm at EvenFlow (302 West State Street). Jam out to blues music this Friday night with David Michael Miller and his band. The concert is at EvenFlow Music & Spirits, the premier live music venue in the Fox Valley. There is a cover charge of $5.


July 31st

Harry Potter Event: 12:00 to 5:00 pm at Geneva Public Library (127 James Street). Harry Potter fans of all ages will love this themed event celebrating the release of the new book Harry Potter and the Cursed Child by J.K. Rowling. This free family event will feature trivia and other fun activities.

August 2nd

National Night Out: 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Sunset Pool (710 Western Avenue) and Mill Creek Pool (39W125 South Mill Creek Drive). Splash around in the pool during National Night Out. Enjoy FREE pool admission at either community pool!


August 4th

Movies in the Park: 8:30 pm at Island Park. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair and enjoy the 1980s family classic The Goonies under the stars! The flick will begin at 8:30 pm or at dusk. There will be concessions available for purchase. 


Come Down to the Kane County Fair!

County fairs are a great summertime tradition and there are none better than our beloved Kane County Fair and Festival! Celebrate our great Fox River Valley community and the surrounding area at the fair Wednesday, July 20th, through Sunday, July 24th. That’s 5 days filled with family fun and amusement!


Head on down to the Kane County Fairgrounds located at 525 South Randall Road in St. Charles for all the festivities. There is something for everyone on the Midway! Enjoy free music concerts daily at the Miller Lite Sound Stage. Dine on some classic festival food. Take a spin on some of the amusement rides or win prizes playing carnival games. Check out all of the amazing local vendors and exhibits. Children will love the Kiddy Land, petting zoo, obstacle course, and much more! For additional excitement, head over to the Grandstand to watch several different special events such as the demolition derby and bull riding!



Admission to the fair varies per day. On Wednesday and Thursday, regular admission costs $5.00 with children under 3 free. Tickets are $10.00 for regular admission over the weekend.
