The St. Charles Fine Art Show showcases the original, juried work of around 100 fine artists. You will find the most beautiful works of art in ceramics, drawing, glass, jewelry, mixed media, painting, photography, sculpture, wood, and so much more. Every piece of exhibited work is available for sale during the art show! Find some great new art for your very own Fox River Valley Home! In addition to all of the exhibited art, there will be fun hand on art activities for all ages and live musical entertainment throughout the event! And, the best part? Earth Day Tree Planting

Help make a difference this Earth Day by helping the Forest Preserve District of Kane County plant hundreds of trees in nearby Big Rock. This is a great way to get active and help Mother Earth. This is a FREE volunteer opportunity. There is no need to register for any group less than 10 individuals. Earth Day Open House

Geneva's "Art On Fire" Applications Now Open!

Showcase your artistic talent and help contribute to the charm and beauty of Geneva through “Art on Fire” Hydrant Design Contest! This awesome program allows local artists to paint the city’s fire hydrants. It is a great opportunity for residents to display their creativity and brings public art to the city!



This collaboration between the city and the Cultural Arts Commission, celebrates the artistic talents of our residents and helps beautify our community. Check out all of the painted hydrants created since 2013 on this Interactive Map. Don’t worry; there are still plenty more that need painting!



“Art on Fire” is a free program that is open to everyone in the community. In order to participate, you must fill out the Application & Waiver Form and return to Geneva City Hall (22 South First Street) by 5:00 pm on May 10th. Participants can really allow their creativity to run wild as there is no specific theme. Artists are simply encouraged to incorporate the surrounding environment into the artistic design of the hydrant. The functionality and visibility of the hydrant cannot be compromised in any way. Painting will take place between May 1st and June 30th. There will be prizes awarded for the top 3 designs.

It’s time for some spring cleaning! Have clothes, items, and/or furniture in your Attic, Basement, or Closets that you never use?! They could be someone else’s treasure! Participate in the 2019 GENEVA CITY-WIDE ABC GARAGE SALE!


Participate in the city wide garage sale on Friday, April 26th and Saturday, April 27th to help get rid of your unwanted items and pick up some amazing finds from your fellow Geneva neighbors! By participating in the city wide sale, the Geneva Chamber of Commerce takes care of the advertising and signage for you, ensuring lots of visitors to your garage sale, while you keep all the profits!!


There are two ways to participate! Fill out the Online Application and submit the $25 early bird registration fee OR Print the Application and drop it off with your check at the Geneva Chamber of Commerce (8 South Third Street).


Do not delay! Submit your application by Tuesday, April 16th to have your address and list of items included on the printed AND online maps! The Geneva Chamber of Commerce will also provide you with signage. That sort of advertising cannot be beat! AND, when it comes to the sale, you keep all the profits!


Participants should head over to the Geneva Chamber of Commerce between 9:00 am and 4:30 pm on Wednesday the 24th to pick up your instructions, maps, and signs.

Celebrate the “Luck o’ the Irish” this weekend in beautiful downtown St. Charles! It’s time for the annual St. Patrick's Parade! Kick off the St. Paddy’s Day festivities early with your family, friends, and neighbors!



This Saturday, March 9th, head downtown for some holiday fun all day long! Start your day at the Arcada Theatre (105 East Main Street) at 10:00 am for a free dance show. Then at 11:30 am, head over to the St. Charles History Museum (215 East Main Street) for crafts, cookies, and face painting.



Afterwards, it is time for the main event….the Parade! Find the perfect spot along Main Street (between 6th Street & 4th Avenue) before 2 pm to catch all the incredible floats, Celtic and marching bands, local organizations and community groups, and so much more!
