Showcase your artistic talent and help contribute to the charm and beauty of Geneva through “Art on Fire” Hydrant Design Contest! This awesome program allows local artists to paint the city’s fire hydrants. It is a great opportunity for residents to display their creativity and brings public art to the city!

This collaboration between the city and the Cultural Arts Commission, celebrates the artistic talents of our residents and helps beautify our community. Check out all of the painted hydrants created since 2013 on this Interactive Map. Don’t worry; there are still plenty more that need painting!

“Art on Fire” is a free program that is open to everyone in the community. In order to participate, you must fill out the Application & Waiver Form and return to Geneva City Hall (22 South First Street) by 5:00 pm on May 10th. Participants can really allow their creativity to run wild as there is no specific theme. Artists are simply encouraged to incorporate the surrounding environment into the artistic design of the hydrant. The functionality and visibility of the hydrant cannot be compromised in any way. Painting will take place between May 1st and June 30th. There will be prizes awarded for the top 3 designs.

Grab your paint brushes and set your “Art on Fire” this spring in Geneva!
